Prince Talent & Resourcing are currently recruiting a Head of Finance on behalf of our client, who are a small, dynamic company who are rapidly growing, within the renewables sector. This is a brilliant opportunity that will be well suited to someone has solid experience within a Senior Finance role who is comfortable with leading the financial operations.

Role: Head of Finance

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum

Location: Cardiff or Warwick (hybrid working)

Duration: Permanent

As the Head of Finance, you will have one direct report and will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business, providing strategic financial guidance, and ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of our finance department.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy and Planning:

• Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy to support growth and profitability.
• Collaborate with the executive team to create financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Analyse financial data and trends, providing insights to inform decision-making.

Budget Management:

• Oversee the budgeting process, monitoring and controlling expenses.
• Work with department heads to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.

Cash Flow Management:

• Manage cash flow, optimise working capital, and ensure sufficient liquidity for daily operations.
• Implement cash flow forecasting and risk management strategies.

Financial Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.

Strategic Financial Projects:

• Identify and lead strategic financial initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial analysis to support decision-making.

What you’ll need

• Accounting related degree/qualification desirable
• Proven experience within a Senior Finance role
• Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, ERP systems).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
